PT Batulicin Nusantara Maritim – Jakarta – Coal prices this week are considered stable. Reference coal price data (ICI 4) Indonesian Coal Index Futures – (IICc1) on Monday (21/3/2022) closed at the level of US$ 109.00/ton, only down 0.79% when compared to Friday (18/ 3/2022).
Within a week, the decline in coal prices was considered to have little effect on the continuity of production and distribution of coal in Indonesia in particular, with a decrease of 0.79%.
Director of PT Batulicin Nusantaran Maritim (PT. BNM), Yuliana said that coal prices have recently changed very rapidly due to many things, from geopolitical conditions and the energy transition which the Government continues to promote to support sustainable development in the world, especially in Indonesia.
"Indeed, the price of coal is influenced by many factors, but for now PT. BNM is still running smoothly. We will continue to ensure that we can continue to meet demand for delivery services," said Yuliana on Wednesday (23/03/2022).
Yuliana said that on the one hand, Indonesian entrepreneurs are required to meet domestic supply needs (DMO), until yesterday there was a policy banning coal exports. But since access was opened for coal exports, it has continued as usual and has no legal consequences such as defaults for coal transportation services.
"Currently, access for exports is running smoothly, transportation carried out by PT. BNM, which is a subsidiary of the Enam Sembulan Group with its code on the stock exchange (BESS), has no problems and continues to serve customer requests and always provides the best service in coal hauling services," Yuliana concluded.
